Research

The majority of my research lies in the intersection of far-right politics, democracy, and political behaviour, with a regional focus on Europe. I’m particularly interested in the relationship between radicalism/extremism and democratic resilience, as well as the political psychology of the far right.

My current research examines the socioeconomic agenda of the far right – specifically welfare policies related to women/family and employment –  and how they erode democratic norms and undermine (liberal) democracy. A key part of my work here highlights the gendered dimensions of these socioeconomic programmes by analysing how far-right actors embed traditional gender norms within their broader economic and social policy agenda.
